No ketchup on my fried rice. Prefer chilli sauce instead.... Mr. Green

hisoka SG

i prefer no sauce one. the fried rice should taste good on its own Mr. Green

honeymouse SG

Just plain bread or with spread on it? At least you're lucky enough to have bread for breakfast Smile unlike many poor kids in Singapore who go to school without breakfast. Crying or Very sad

Today got 1 parent complain to MOE cos it's getting harder to get into poly

But I saw the parent and student had some fault, they said they were given the choice of up to 12 courses to pick for the system, yet they only filled up 9.. Of course it reduces the chance to get in

udontknowme SG

worse lah...

there are some who dont eat for the sake of wanting to be 'skinny' Rolling Eyes

look like a bag of bones already and still wanna starve themselves
sigh~~

honeymouse SG

Yes, I agree. That's why I always have to think before I add anything to my fried rice. I love chilli too much!! Love the taste of chilli and the burning sensation in my mouth. Yum!!! Mr. Green Still, I do eat my fried rice without chilli sauce on it sometimes.

hisoka SG

plain bread. abit stale also Crying or Very sad

i used to go to school without breakfast too. waking up early jsut to eat is so unethical Laughing

av98m SG

Yah Crying or Very sad

But there is a free breakfast scheme in place for poor students in school canteens (I'm not very clear on the specifics, like whether they have this in all the schools, how to apply etc).

hisoka SG

it is getting harder.....

anyway 12 choices but the course you want or can do well with only got 9 also no use Rolling Eyes

av98m SG

There are a sizable number of students who simply cannot afford breakfast Confused

Some evenn have to walk ridiculous distances to school to save on bus/mrt fares. *sigh*

sbst275 SG

What I understand is that, poly is considered what majority would go alrdy for post secondary education these days

Yeah lah... But that day at the JAE thread which I kpo kpo for a while, I saw the link given for the COP... Oh my, some courses must be like getting A1 or A2 to get in

hisoka SG

why you so persimistic.... think of the bad things. and pple say i tend to be persimistic Rolling Eyes

av98m SG

The fact that there are spaces specially reserved for foreign students in our schools(primary, secondary, tertiary) also piss parents off. Laughing

av98m SG

I'm stating a fact. That's different from pessimism

sbst275 SG

ASEAN scholarship?

hisoka SG

i would be pissed too. you reserve places for foreign students at the expense of local students. and the policy is at least loal governemnt linked.

not to mention the various scholarships and such given to them when the local students are jsut as good Rolling Eyes

hisoka SG

a glass thats half full is also half empty is a fact too Confused

honeymouse SG

You started it first, being sad/"pessimistic" about having dry stale bread for breakfast so we just want you to see from the bright side and know how lucky you are!!! Very Happy

av98m SG

this is our gahmen's way of increasing our population mah Laughing

one of my friend's kids is in a top secondary school. HALF his class is made up of foreigners.

hisoka SG

shouldn't knowing pple are suffering make me more sad? Confused

i'm no sadist Cool

anyway compared to the pple who aet sharks fin and abalone and steaks for breakfast........ Laughing
